TONIGHT’S YANKEES LINEUP

Everybody is postulating the Yankees.  Don’t panic, it’s going to be all right, the Yankees will find a way.  As I already mentioned, the Yankees problems are mainly a result of a dysfunctional lineup. Let’s take a look at the Yankees lineup tonight.  First let’s start with who is not there.

  He balances the lineup, yeah sure.  Well he struck out twice tonight against triple A pitchers.  Is there anyone out there who belives that A-stiff is going to come back and carry the Yankees.

  Have I not killed Texshitta enough.  What a bust, this guy has been.  He puts up his HRs and RBIs each year.  Watch him every game and you see that he is inconsistent when it comes to getting the big hit or driving in the big run.  The Yankees owe him 90,000,000 and he is getting injured constantly.

NOW TO TONIGHT’S LINeup:

Lead off:      What can one say.  There are not enough accolades.  I wish every player on this team had the heart of Derek Jeter.

Number 2    I want to applaud this guy.  Nick has been hot and then tonight in the first game, most possibly defining the sries, he strikes out 4X.  Does this not remind you of the playoffs?

Number 3:   0-4  and 2 strikeouts.  The number three hitter was invisible.

Cleanup:    He hit a meaningless home run, struck out again to bring his total to 158 and hit lots of pop  outs, instead of line drives.  His offense stinks!

Fifth:    Eric Chavez has had a much better season than I could have predicted.  He goes the other way, shortens his swing with two strikes.  He was nowhere to be found tonight and I hope he is not coming back to eartyh

Sixth:   Now where  to be found, swinging at way out of the strike zone.  He looks tired.

Seventh:    Got his one hit and was robbed.  Let’s face it, Russell sucks.  He has hit under .200 all year. I wish the Yankees had an alternative, because it is sickening to watch him hit.

Eighth:  The Yankees  have used Ichiro to come up big and he did not.

Ninth:   Jason Nix is what he is, a utility player.  I can’t get on him.  But he was the best Girardi could come up for a DH.  That is sad.   EDB
