Pitcher with 99-MPH heater says Richard Sherman would get a ‘high and tight’ fastball

Like many, Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander was put off by Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman after Sunday’s NFC Championship game. Unlike most, Verlander has the ability to throw a baseball 99 MPH.
There’s no question that a baseball version of Sherman would talk his way into a beaning every game from time to time. But he’s a football player, so guys like Verlander are left to dream about the opportunity to throw at the most incendiary man in sports.
