At the request of actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Paul McCartney wrote a post for www.goop.com in support of Meat Free Monday. Here’s part of what he wrote: “It’s amazingly easy to take one day in your week, Monday or any other day, and not eat meat. When you think about it, there are so many great alternatives, for instance, in Italian cooking, so many of the dishes are vegetarian already and Thai and Chinese cuisine are the same. All it means is that you have to think a bit about what you’ll eat that day but, in actual fact, far from being a chore, it’s a fun challenge.” You can find the complete post at his website.

Apparently the talk of Minnesota on Monday was what was Ringo Starr doing wearing a t-shirt from a Minnesota head shop at the Grammys on Sunday? According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune blog, he got it as a Christmas present from his nephew, Christian-Philippe Quilici, who lives in the Twin Cities.

The Dhalsa Music Video Project was casting for a Paul McCartney look-a-like (“Talent should be a Paul McCartney look-alike when Paul was in his mid 40s”) and an actor to play an 18-19 year-old John Lennon (“Talent should be a John Lennon look-alike when John was in his late teens”) in the New York area on Monday. According to their website, “Dhalsa.com promotes the ‘Feel Good’ concept for those of us who like to stay healthy but can find very little time for it. The idea is use social dancing to burn calories and ‘feel good’ while at it!” But doesn’t Beatle music make you feel good anyway?
