DODGERS TRADE MATT KEMP TO PADRES FOR A PACKAGE OF PLAYERS

The Padres acquired  Matt Kemp from The  Dodgerswho lessened their  outfield logjam after the two California franchises agreed to a trade,  Thursday morning. The Dodgers will send Kemp, the two time  All-Star and the 2011 MVP runner-up, to The Padres  , in  exchange for catcher Yasmani Grandal, pitcher Joe Wieland, and prospect Zach Eflin.

The Dodgers have been trying to  trade Kemp, as well as Andre Etier. Still, Kemp leaving The Dodgers, the team still has   (Yasiel Puig), two decent outfielders with massive contracts (Andre Ethier and Carl Crawford), and a major  prospect who might be major league ready, (Joc Pederson.)
