For first time in ten years, the Mets and Yankees have made a trade.
The Mets traded right-handed pitcher Gonzalez Germen to the Yankees for cash (a player the mets love,) and future considerations. Gonzalez posted a 4.75 ERA in 2014 in 30 1/3 innings. Gonzalez was cut to make room for John Mayberry Jr., earlier this week.
It’s the first trade between the two teams since Dec. 3, 2004 when they exchanged Mike Stanton for Felix Heradia, and just the 15th ever.
