It has finally been released that The Pirates were the highest bidders for Korean Shortstop, Jung-Ho Kang. The Pirates reportedly won with a bid of $5,002,015 for Kang. Kang is an interesting free agent, at age 27. In 2014 Kang knocked out forty dingers and drove in 117 runs and was named The MVP. Kang is the first Korean ballplayer to be posted. A shortstop who hits 4o homers obviously is attractive to clubs. There was talk that The Mets might bid, but C’mon Now! The Mets are all talk! The Pirates surprised the Baseball World with their bid. The Pirates could use Kang, if they sign him at another position, other than third. The Piarates have 30 days to work out a deal with Kang and his agents.
