Yovani Gallardo was shipped to The Rangers for Pitchers Corey Knebel and Marcos Diplan and shortstop Luis Sardinas.   Gallardo, 28 was 8-11 with a 3.51 ERA for The Brewers in 2014.  Gllardo made a minimum of thirty starts for the past six seasons.  His innings pitched exceeded 180 innings in six of his past eight seasons.  The Rangers were looking to upgrade their rotation beyond Yu Darvish and Derek Holland.  Gallardo will earn 13 million in the final year of his contract and is open to negotiating an extension with the Rangers.
