The Red Sox have signed 19 year old Yoan Moncaya.  Moncaya will receive 31.5 million, a record for international players.  Moncaya is believed to be a future star.  Moncaya will not be in the majors immediately.  The Yankees offered 27 million to Moncaya, who would have had a quicker path to the majors, then with the Red Sox.  Second base is Moncaya’s best position.  However, The Red Sox could move Moncaya to the outfield in the minors. Moncaya was hoping to make the majors this season and just might help the Red Sox in 2015.  The Red Sox have lots of really good prospects, that they could move in a Cole Hamels deal.
