Josh Hamilton’s meeting with MLB officials, has to do with his disclosure that he has relapsed and taken drugs. Hamilton has admitted to once again taking drugs. All signs are pointing to this as being fact. Hamilton was suspended from 2003 to 2005 for drug use. Hamilton recovered from drug and alcohol addiction. Hamilton then won The A.L. MVP award in 2010. He played in two World Series with The Rangers. He signed a 125 million contract with The Angels. Hamilton was required to be tested three times weekly, as part of the contract. It is believed that Hamilton would be treated a s a first time offender, since he was in the Minor Leagues when he first was caught taking drugs. If Hamilton cooperates with MLB’s drug program, he won’t likely be suspended.
