Jets claim Braylon Edwards one week after he called them ‘idiots’

5:15PM EST December 11. 2012 – Just a week after tweeting that the “idiots calling shots” were more to blame than quarterback Mark Sanchez for the New York Jets’ struggles, those same decision makers claimed the veteran receiver, who was cut by the Seattle Seahawks last week, off waivers.
Edwards, who was defending the Jets’ beleaguered signal-caller, apologized for his outburst a day later, tweeting that he “disrespected and insulted an administration that I have the utmost respect for.”
