WHAT’S WRONG WITH JUNIOR GARDNER?

“what is wrong” with Junior.  Junior went 1-4 with a base on balls vs. The Blue Jays, last evening.  Junior is 8 for his last 44 at bats and is presently in a 1-4 slump.  Let’s not forget, Mr. Softly Ellsbury, doubled to lead off the game and instead of hitting down on the ball to advance Ellsbury to third, Gardner flew out to center and Ellsbury remained on second.   “He looks a little jumpy, looks like he is pressing,’’ a scout said.  “It’s possible he isn’t seeing the ball well.”  August was particularly brutal for Gardner as he batted .208 (21-for-101) and posted a .304 on base percentage.  The fact is, the guy is not that good.  People love Junior because he plays hard.  I would rather have a player who comes through and strikes out less.

A YANKEE WHO GETS IT!

imagesNI236ONN  Brian McCann who has a very good year for The Yankees hitting homers, knocking in runs and throwing out runners, gave it up for the team in the tenth  inning versus The Blue Jays.  He was given the third base line and bunted for a single to lead off the inning.  His teammates should take stock.  Go Brian!  EDB

DANDY ANDY GETS A PLAQUE AT THE STADIUM…

The Yankees and their pathetic lineup, had trouble with the unhittable
